Deborah L. Parker believes in using the wits and gifts that God gave her to be of service to others professionally and personally.  Building on her beginnings as the oldest child of a determined single parent and raised in the home of her wise grandparents, she is a sought after speaker on leadership, motivation, change, diversity and careers. Deborah took those same attributes to positions in the army and corporate sector, before starting her own company, The DPJ Training Group.

Committed to continuous learning, she holds a B.A. in Sociology from The College of William and Mary, received a M.A. in Human Resource Development from George Mason University and completed the US Army Command and General Staff College as well as Dale Carnegie personal development courses.

Along her journey, Deborah has encountered various setbacks and changes, but her faith has seen her through while she focuses on staying motivated. Pulling all of her life messages together in print, she has published four books to include her signature inspirational autobiography, Navigating Life’s Roadways and her most recent work, Hardcore Leadership, which both have been well-received by readers of many backgrounds.

In the community Deborah is a member of the Loudoun County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the Metro DC chapter of the American Society for Training and Development, Military Officers Association of America and Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Herndon. When taking a break, Deborah enjoys travel, reading and long walks.
